GUIDED MEDITATIONS

BEAUTIFUL, ANGELIC AND INSPIRATIONAL: These are just a few words that flow into your consciousness by listening to a few notes of the handpan. The notes resonate in an eloquent dialog with each other and the listener.

Kelly blends energy healing concepts with the the beautiful tones of her healing instruments (the handpan, crystal bowl, Tibetan bowl, chimes, etc) to bring about a one-of-kind experience. The meditations are not pre-planned, rather they are intuitive. This allows Kelly to be completely in the moment and receptive to her clients. The frequencies and sounds of the music along with the guided portion of the meditation has a way of naturally and effortlessly removing blocked and stagnant energy. This allows the client to feel refreshed and renewed.

How the handpan found me

About two years ago I attended a local drum circle and out of the 40 or so attendants one beautiful soul was playing a handpand, I was instantly transformed! The tones were soothing, melodic, and angelic allowing me to destress in just minutes. Two years went by and as fate would have it I met this beautiful soul once again at a local guided meditation. This time, I thought, I won’t let this person slip by me. A simple conversation that night lead to me purchasing my first handpan in only a few short weeks.

Now I want to share the handpan with everyone

Quieting the central nervous system, slowing the breath and calming emotions are all induced by the gentle loving tones of the handpan. Being easily portable the handpan can be taken to the beach, parks, corporations, small businesses, yoga studios or even your back porch.

Interstitial & Friends

handpan love 1.jpg

My friends will tell you that I haven’t quite been the same since receiving my very first handpan early 2021.  What a delight it has been!  I can honestly say that it has brought out a new sense of ingenuity and a creative spirit that has been dormant for many years.  If you haven’t tried the handpan yet I encourage you to do so.  You can play in the privacy of your own home or schedule play dates with your handpan friends.  Either way it is a win-win!

What does Interstitial mean?

You may be wondering what does the word interstitial mean?  First of all, I am very fond of the term because it is fun to say (pronounced:  in-ter-stish-uhl) and it is unique!  According to online dictionaries the term means “situated between.”  In handpan terms this is the area between the tone fields.  Playing the interstitial creates depth and character to the rhythm.  This is super exciting!  In other contexts, interstitial means the “space between” as in architecture and buildings.  Medically speaking it means the “space situated between” the cells or organs.  So as you can see there is a whole lot of interstitial-izing going on!

Bridging Interstitial & Energy Healing

In energy healing terms the word interstitial lends itself to the “area between” of our physical self and our spiritual self.  Out of curiosity just where does our physical body stop and our spiritual body start?  Are they separate or united?  I liken it to the physical structure of the handpan, the tones produce frequencies and vibratory patterns that are very real but also tangible.  So in that sense the our physical body and spiritual body is functioning as one just the music the handpan creates and the handpan itself are one.    You may have heard the phrase “we are not bodies with a soul” but rather “we are souls with a body.”  I’m delighted to reminded of this concept while playing the handpan.  Besides, beautiful music is international language of the love.

road trip with handpan friends.JPEG

The handpan also known as a “sound sculpture” has brought me much joy and I want to share it with everyone!  And what could be more fun than sharing this instrument with friends?  As I create and explore with the handpan tones and frequencies please join me and my handpan friends as we move forward on this journey.  Soon we’ll be doing another road trip for a handpan jam, friendship and fun!  Please stay tuned for further updates.
